Brownfields Resources: Library Links

The Library preserves a collection of more than 119 million items, more than two-thirds of which are in media other than books. These include the largest map, film and television collections in the world. In addition to its primary mission of serving the research needs of the U.S. Congress, the Library serves all Americans through its popular Web site and in its 22 reading rooms on Capitol Hill.

The National Environmental Publications Information Site is available to the public for searching, viewing and printing over 6,000 U. S. EPA publications. The NEPI website publications are incorporated into a database format that is organized and searched using the Clarit Computational Linguistic Search Engine package. There are links available to Technical Information Packages (TIPS); environmental terms and the publication catalog for the U. S. EPA's National Center for Environmental Publications and Information (NCEPI).

The EPA Headquarters Information Resources Center (IRC) provides access to EPA information for United States and international requests and has a range of information services consisting of environmental and related subjects of interest to EPA staff, including online searching of commercial databases. The focus of IRC is on environmental regulations, policy, planning and administration.
